Terms of Service

📋 Quick summary for parents
Pixelkids is an AI learning and creation product for children, used only with parent or legal guardian permission. The parent account holder is responsible for the account, child profiles, subscription, and supervising use. Pixelkids uses safety filters and parent controls, but AI can still be wrong and is not a replacement for a teacher, parent, therapist, doctor, lawyer, or emergency service.
🎈 Quick rules for kids
Use Pixelkids to learn, create, and build safely. Do not share your full name, address, school, phone number, passwords, private photos, or other people's private information. Be kind. Do not try to break safety rules. Do not ask Pixelkids to make unsafe, sexual, violent, illegal, hateful, or real-child images or content.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms govern access to and use of Pixelkids, including our website, app, AI coach, child profiles, generated content tools, learning activities, dashboards, and related services.
By creating an account, starting a subscription, creating a child profile, or using Pixelkids, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pixelkids.
The person accepting these Terms must be the parent or legal guardian account holder, not the child user.
2. Who may use Pixelkids
You may create a Pixelkids account only if you are at least 18 years old and are the parent or legal guardian of each child using the account, or you otherwise have legal authority to provide consent for that child.
Pixelkids is designed for children approximately ages 8–14, but any child profile under 18 must be created and authorised by a parent or legal guardian.
Children may use Pixelkids only through a child profile created or authorised by their parent or legal guardian.
You must not create a child profile for a child unless you have the legal authority to consent to that child's use of Pixelkids and to the collection, use, and disclosure of that child's personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Parent responsibility and consent
By creating a child profile, you confirm that:
- you are the child's parent or legal guardian;
- you consent to the child's use of Pixelkids;
- you consent to Pixelkids collecting, using, disclosing, and processing the child's personal data as described in our Privacy Policy;
- you will supervise the child's use in a way suitable for the child's age and maturity;
- you will keep your account credentials secure; and
- you will not allow any unauthorised person to access the child profile.
For jurisdictions that require verifiable parental consent — including the United States for children under 13 — we may require additional steps to confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian. These steps may include email verification, payment card verification, signed consent forms, identity verification, video confirmation, or other legally permitted methods.
You may withdraw consent or delete a child profile as described in our Privacy Policy. Some features may stop working if you withdraw consent or delete required data.
4. What Pixelkids provides
Pixelkids provides AI-supported learning and creative tools that may help children learn how to use AI to build games, pictures, videos, music, code, stories, small learning projects, and related creative artifacts.
Available features depend on the plan, region, device, safety settings, and third-party AI provider availability.
We may add, change, pause, or remove features. For material changes that significantly reduce a paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice where practical.
5. AI outputs and learning limitations
Pixelkids uses AI systems. AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, biased, unsafe, non-unique, or unsuitable for your child. You and your child should not rely on AI outputs as professional advice.
Pixelkids is not:
- a school;
- a substitute teacher;
- a medical, mental health, legal, financial, or safety service;
- an emergency service;
- a childcare or child-monitoring service; or
- a guarantee of learning outcomes.
Parents should review important outputs before a child relies on them.
If a child is in danger or needs urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted adult immediately.
6. Account security
You are responsible for keeping your parent account credentials secure.
You must not share parent account credentials with children or third parties. Child passcodes should be used only by the relevant child and parent.
You must notify us promptly at hello@pixelkids.co if you suspect unauthorised access, misuse, account compromise, or a security issue.
We may require password resets, additional verification, or account restrictions if we believe an account is at risk.
7. Child safety, moderation, and parent controls
Pixelkids may use automated systems and, where necessary, human review to detect, block, moderate, or respond to unsafe content, policy violations, security risks, or child-safety concerns.
We may provide safety notices, limit features, notify the parent account holder, suspend a child profile, or take other reasonable steps where we believe there is a risk of harm, misuse, or legal violation.
If we identify content involving child sexual abuse material, exploitation, grooming, imminent harm, credible threats, or other serious illegal activity, we may preserve, disclose, and report relevant information to law enforcement, child-safety organisations, regulators, or other appropriate authorities where permitted or required by law.
Pixelkids may provide parental dashboards, activity summaries, safety alerts, data export tools, deletion tools, and profile-management tools. Parent controls are not a replacement for parent supervision.
8. Acceptable use
You and your child must use Pixelkids lawfully, safely, and respectfully.
You must not, and must not allow a child or anyone else to:
- bypass, disable, probe, or defeat safety filters, content moderation, account limits, rate limits, or security controls;
- use Pixelkids to harass, bully, threaten, defame, abuse, exploit, or discriminate against any person;
- upload, request, generate, or share sexual content involving minors, child exploitation content, grooming content, or content that sexualises children;
- upload or request identifiable images, videos, or likenesses of real children;
- upload private information about another person without permission;
- request instructions for self-harm, suicide, violence, weapons construction, evading law enforcement, cyber abuse, fraud, or illegal activity;
- create realistic impersonations, deepfakes, or misleading content about real people without lawful permission;
- create hateful, extremist, terrorist, or discriminatory content;
- use Pixelkids for academic cheating, plagiarism, or misrepresenting AI-generated work as a child's unaided work where that would break school rules;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, resell, or commercially exploit Pixelkids except as expressly permitted;
- reverse engineer, decompile, attack, test, or interfere with Pixelkids systems except through an authorised vulnerability disclosure process;
- upload malware, harmful code, spam, or automated abuse;
- use Pixelkids to violate third-party rights or laws; or
- use Pixelkids in a way that violates any applicable AI provider, hosting provider, payment provider, or app-store rules.
We may block content, refuse prompts, remove generated content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
9. User content and child-created content
“User Content” means prompts, chats, uploads, profile information, generated assets, game code, images, videos, music, documents, feedback, and other materials submitted to or created through Pixelkids.
As between you and Pixelkids, you or your child keep any rights you have in your User Content.
You grant Pixelkids a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, modify, and use User Content only as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot Pixelkids, comply with law, enforce these Terms, and protect users.
We do not sell Child Content. We do not use Child Content for targeted advertising.
AI-generated outputs may not be copyrightable, may not be unique, and may be similar to outputs generated for other users. Pixelkids does not guarantee that any AI output is owned by you, non-infringing, accurate, safe, original, or suitable for commercial use.
10. Your responsibilities for content
You are responsible for User Content submitted through your account and child profiles.
You must ensure you have the rights and permissions needed to submit content to Pixelkids. Do not upload confidential, sensitive, private, copyrighted, or third-party material unless you have permission and it is appropriate for a child-safe product.
Do not ask a child to enter private information, school records, medical information, government identifiers, addresses, phone numbers, passwords, or photos of real children into Pixelkids.
11. Pixelkids intellectual property
Pixelkids, including our software, interfaces, prompts, designs, characters, workflows, curriculum, safety systems, logos, trademarks, and service content, is owned by Pixelkids or its licensors.
Except for the limited right to use Pixelkids under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative services from Pixelkids unless we agree in writing.
12. Third-party services and AI providers
Pixelkids uses third-party providers for authentication, hosting, databases, AI model inference, image generation, video generation, text-to-speech, email, forms, analytics, payment processing, security, and support.
Third-party services may process data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some features may be unavailable if a provider is unavailable, changes its terms, rate-limits usage, or blocks content.
You must not use Pixelkids to violate third-party provider policies.
13. Subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds
Some Pixelkids features require a paid subscription. Pricing, plan limits, renewal periods, and included features are shown at sign-up or in your account dashboard.
By starting a paid subscription, you authorise Pixelkids or our payment processor (Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis until cancelled.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel from the account dashboard, the Stripe Customer Portal accessed from the dashboard, or by contacting us at hello@pixelkids.co. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless required otherwise by law.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we expressly state otherwise. If Pixelkids is materially unavailable or unusable due to our fault, contact hello@pixelkids.co and we will review the issue.
Free trials do not require a payment method and do not automatically convert to paid subscriptions. To continue using paid features after the trial ends, you must affirmatively subscribe; we will not charge you without your explicit action. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods until you cancel. We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.
14. Beta and experimental features
Some features may be labelled beta, preview, early access, or experimental. These features may be unstable, limited, or removed at any time. Beta features may produce unexpected results and should be used with extra parent supervision.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, protect, and delete personal data, including Child Data.
By using Pixelkids and creating child profiles, you agree to the Privacy Policy and confirm that you have provided any required parental consent.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy about personal data, the Privacy Policy controls for that personal data issue.
16. Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but Pixelkids may be interrupted by maintenance, security issues, provider outages, internet issues, model-provider limits, legal requirements, or events outside our control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
17. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account or child profiles through the dashboard or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- you breach these Terms;
- we cannot verify required parental consent;
- payment fails;
- the account creates safety, legal, security, or operational risk;
- required by law, provider policy, or regulator request; or
- we discontinue Pixelkids or a feature.
For ordinary issues, we will try to provide reasonable notice. For serious safety, child protection, security, fraud, illegal content, or legal issues, we may act immediately.
After termination, we will handle account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
18. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Pixelkids is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, learning outcomes, and safety of AI outputs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Pixelkids and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, content, or business opportunity.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for direct damages arising out of or relating to Pixelkids or these Terms is limited to the greater of:
- the amount you paid Pixelkids in the 12 months before the claim; or
- SGD 100.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, including for fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be limited.
20. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Pixelkids harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from:
- your breach of these Terms;
- misuse of Pixelkids through your account;
- User Content submitted through your account;
- violation of law or third-party rights; or
- unauthorised creation of a child profile.
This indemnity does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by Pixelkids' own unlawful conduct, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
21. Local consumer rights
Some jurisdictions give consumers non-waivable legal rights. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
If local law requires a different cancellation, refund, liability, jurisdiction, or notice rule, that rule applies only to the extent legally required.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as email, dashboard notice, or in-product notice. If required by law, we will obtain additional consent.
Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using Pixelkids and may cancel your account.
23. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
Subject to any non-waivable local consumer rights, disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact hello@pixelkids.co and try to resolve the issue informally for 30 days, unless urgent relief is needed.
